Brief Biology:

Hornet is black in color with a white face. Approximately 1 inch in length. These are very agressive yellowjackets. Its nest is grey with several combs inside. Usually pair shaped and size of 1 foot or more in diameter. Colonies are founded by a single queen in the spring that mated the previous fall and overwintered as an adult.

Treatment Methods:

Treat nesting areas late at night when the Hornets are less active and resting. Aerosol Wasp and Hornet freeze, Hand bellow, and dust formulation are required to treat and eliminate a hornets nest. First drench the entrace area to the hornets nest. Thoroughly soak this area. Aerosol can treat up to 20 feet in distance from the nesting area. Next you want to apply a dust fomulation into the entrace area using a hand bellow. This will give you long-term effectiveness against those annoying pests. Wait 24-48 hours before removing the nest. Make sure there is no activity during daylight before removing the nest. All hornets should be dead.
